Knox Opening

We’ve got a new outpost in the Lone Star State y’all! Right when you were about to pigeonhole us as coastal kids, GLCO’s gone landlocked. Last Thursday, the GLCO team, our co-hosts House of Plates, and a bunch of our Dallas friends celebrated the opening of our first Texas location. We celebrated our new store in the best way we know how: with good music, good friends, and strong drinks. Guests entered the party to find a custom neon sign with a clever take on a Texas classic, “Clear Eyes, Fresh Frames, Can’t Lose.” Inside the store, napkin artist Napkin Killa drew portraits on GLCO optical cleaning cloths and attendees previewed the our newly-recently FH17 collection.

Guests snacked on California-inspired bites, including street tacos, avocado toast and ahi tuna poké cones, and danced the night away to hits by DJ Sober.

Cocktails included the High Frequency with GEM & BOLT Mezcal and an Old Fashioned with Slow & Low Rock and Rye. Brain Dead Brewing served Honey Lager and Nimbus beer.

Guests included Leon Bridges, Fred Holston, Michelle Padgett, Edwardo and Kary Brittingham, Kaleta Blaffer Johnson, Jim and Beth Gold, Anais Nussbaumer, Amy Van Cleave, Natalie Knowlton, Brian Chaffin, Blake Wright, Jonathan Morano, Molly Slusher, Lynsey Eaton, Lauren Withrow, Amanda Lund, Francisco Moreno and many other socials.
