All eyewear is designed for the face; what makes the Garrett Leight California Optical 2017 Fall/Holiday Collection different is how it was designed for all faces. Inspired by Prince, an artist who mixed masculine and feminine as fluidly as musical genres, we created styles in different shapes that look good on both men and women, offered in multiple sizes for the perfect fit in everyone, and in a diverse mix of colors just like us. We’re excited to share a range of new optical frames with individual, eclectic details that define the collection. There’s the minimalist rounded Penmar and squared Garfield, two vintage inspired styles that mix metal and acetate in new ways. On the Vienna, a cat eye shape, and the Boon, a rectangular style, we used custom acetates inspired by both natural pigments and sophisticated 90s palettes. We also refreshed the popular Riviera and Valencia sun styles in soft metallic finishes that look great with all skin tones.
Cloy is a returning metal style with a distinctive filigree bridge. Originally an optical style, Cloy is now offered in a larger sun size with gradient glass lenses. We’re rounding out the Cloy family this season with the addition of the Cloy Clip, a metal folding clip in gunmetal and matte gold that offsets the Cloy’s patterned bridge.
Fan favorite Club House is our ultralight and thin aviator style in new metallic finishes. The style is now being offered as a sun option, with a range of sophisticated tinted semi-flat CR-39 lens pairings. Fan favorite GLCO x Clare V. is back for its final round. We’ve brought back two classic colorways – Ebene and Sable – for the collab frame’s final season. Designed to coordinate with specific colors of our new Garfield frame, we’re also introducing the Garfield Clip: two acetate and two metal clips with CR-39 lenses.
Vista is a winged metal style with flared cat eye curves and semi-flat nylon gradient lenses in complementary shades. Wilson Sun Shield, the flashy remake of our classic round style, rounds out the season with soft cream acetate shields contoured around the outside rims and flat base lenses.
Last but not least, meet Zephyr, a metal and acetate mixed frame with an arcing top bar and side shields. The edgy frame design is paired with semi-flat CR-39 lenses in warm tones to make the bold edges fitting for any face.
